Temporary Membership

All sailors racing at Sandy Bay Sailing Club (SBSC) must be registered as a member.

To support this, SBSC offers a SailPass temporary memberships, for those competing in the Schools Teams Racing Series & State Titles, as well new sailors wanting to race ‘once off’.

What is a SailPASS?

All sailors sailing in any of our courses are required to have an active Australian Sailing number so they are covered under insurance. A SailPASS allows you to be temporarily covered, for a restricted period. After the end of this period (6 sessions) you must choose to sign up as a member if you would like to continue. SailPass gives you the opportunity to try sailing a number of times, plus it allows you to get the feel for our club before doing a course or becoming a club member.
