Member Governance Documents
The Sandy Bay Sailing Club constitution is the set of rules the club is governed by.
SBSC Code of Conduct
SBSC always seek to provide a safe, fair and inclusive environment for everyone involved in our Club and in our sailing activities. To achieve this, we require certain standards of behaviour by sailors, coaches, officials, administrators, parents/guardians (of child participants) and spectators.
Although Codes of Conduct are not a legal requirement, they are a good tool for setting expectations of behaviour. Establishing the SBSC Code of Conduct provides an overarching, high-level approach for what SBSC expects of our Members, coaches, guests, sailors and volunteers.
The Code of Conduct is a useful risk management tool and assists SBSC in demonstrating compliance with our work, health and safety obligations, along with specifically promoting diversity and inclusion as part of Club activities.
We trust that all Members will engage with the SBSC Code of Conduct intent and support the behaviour standards being established.
