Optimist
Getting Started in the Optimist Fleet is an exciting time as for many it is the starting point for a lifetime enjoyment of the sport of sailing. Sandy Bay Sailing Club caters for Optimist sailors of all levels, offering Green, Intermediate and Open programs.
In January 2026 Hobart will host the Optimist Nationals. This will include Open, Intermediate and of course Green Fleet! Come and join in the Opti fun and be ready for the 2026 Nationals on the Derwent.
