PJ’s Super Series Regatta

Be part of the biggest event of the Hobart off the beach sailing calendar – PJ’s Super Series at Sandy Bay Sailing Club!

PJ’s Super Series is open to all off the beach dinghy classes – everything from Optimists, Sabots, International Cadets, 29ers, 49ers, ILCA, Sabres through to IQ Foils, WASZP’s and F18 Catamarans. We even have a special green fleet course for our newest Optimist and Sabot sailors. The regatta runs all weekend on Saturday and Sunday.

Members of other clubs are also very welcome to enter the regatta and most years we have sailors from all over Tasmania and even from the mainland!

The regatta is held on the beautiful Derwent River, with boats are launched off the beach on Nutgrove Beach outside our club. The canteen is also always open both days with presentations held after racing on Sunday.

Are you a Green Fleeter? We would love to welcome you to SBSC for “PJ’s”. We run a special green fleet course close to shore for our newest sailors, including an on-water coach to help green fleeters around the course. Parents and carers are welcome to head out to watch on the start boat (i.e. our wonderful race officer’s yacht). If you need to borrow one of our plastic optis please indicate in your registration.
