Membership at Sandy Bay Sailing Club

Membership is open to anyone with an interest in sailing, windsurfing, supporting or enjoying the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere of our family-friendly club. Whether you’re a junior sailor taking your first steps on the water, a parent supporting your child’s sailing journey, a seasoned racer, or someone who simply loves being part of a supportive community, there’s a place for you here.
As a member of Sandy Bay Sailing Club, you’ll enjoy access to one of Tasmania’s strongest junior and youth sailing programs, a welcoming community of dinghy sailors, and regular opportunities to participate in racing, training, and social events. You’ll also be part of a club that values inclusivity, encourages personal development, and supports every sailor — from beginners through to those competing at state, national, and international levels.

Our membership runs from September – September each year and is paid for the full year. Pro rata memberships are available only to new members of the club who join part way through the season.
Family Membership
This membership covers two adults and their children under 18, providing excellent value and ensuring the whole family can enjoy the benefits of club life.

Single Membership
Designed for sailors over 13 years of age who want to take part in our racing and training programs, enjoy club facilities, and be part of our sailing community. Ideal for youth sailors progressing through classes.

Supporter Membership
For those who may not be sailing but want to stay connected. Supporter members are an important part of our community, enjoying the social side of the club and helping foster the welcoming spirit that Sandy Bay Sailing Club is known for.
